Your First Visit, Step by Step

What to Expect

  1. Contact us

Call any of our three offices or send us a message through the contact form. A staff member will reach out the same business day. We will have a brief phone conversation to make sure we’re the right fit for you and to answer your initial questions.

  2. Schedule your induction visit

Your first appointment is your induction visit. Plan for 45–60 minutes. We will review your medical and substance use history, conduct a physical assessment, and confirm your diagnosis. We take our time. We are not in a rush.

  3. Begin treatment

Your physician will work with you to establish the right treatment plan. Your first prescription covers a limited number of days while we establish your baseline. Return visits are scheduled every 28 days.

  4. Your medication is handled

Most insurance plans cover Suboxone and other MAT medications. Our staff handles all prior authorization paperwork on your behalf. You should not have to fight with your insurance company. That’s our job.

Common Questions

FAQ

Do I need to be in withdrawal to start?

For buprenorphine induction, yes — you will need to be in mild to moderate withdrawal at the time of your first dose. This is for your safety. Our staff will explain the timing and process when you call.

What if I have a relapse during treatment?

We talk about it. We do not discharge patients for relapse. We assess what happened, we adjust the plan, and we continue. Recovery is not a straight line. We have been walking this road with patients for thirteen years.

Can I transfer from another MAT provider?

Yes. Call us. We have worked with many patients transferring from other practices. We will review your records and work with you on a transition plan.

Is telehealth available?

Yes. We see remote patients via telehealth. Contact us to confirm availability, requirements, and fees.
